Shoftim, 28 Av 5777

August 20, 2017

This week we begin our preparation for Rosh Hashanah as the month of Elul (Virgo) starts. Things in nature begin to turn inward and the month's energy is that of "teshuvah" or "return". A return to innocence, a return to the soul's roots, a time for reflection. It is said that during Elul the Creator wanders the fields. This means that the love and Light of the Creator is more accessible to us during this month than any other month of the year. Hopefully the last two months of Tammuz and Av have caused us to grow and realize certain things about ourselves. In Elul we have the chance to reflect on that growth as well as review the past year as we make our spiritual preparations for Rosh Hashanah and the new year ahead. This is an exciting new month ahead, may we be blessed to return to the Creator's Light and the Divine Spark within ourselves and share it with others.

Please Donate To Keep Kabbalah4All Going
The word "tzedakah" in Hebrew means charity, but actually the word is derived from the root word which means righteousness, justice or fairness. Giving is not viewed as a generous act, it is simply an act of righteousness and justice. Tzedakah is in many ways an exchange of energy and is a visible expression of gratitude in this world for that which we have received. We rely on the generosity of others so that we may make our siddurim (prayer books) and other resources available for all, as well as continue to offer meaningful studies and inspiring services. Please help support our community by making a DONATION. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
