December 17, 2017

On Tuesday we will begin the month of Tevet (Capricorn), which is the darkest month of the year; and yet we begin the darkest month on the last two days of the Festival of Light. According to the Kabbalists, it is during the darkest times that the most positive energy is available. What does this really mean? During Tevet it is important for us to depend on our inner resources, to reach within and to connect to the Creator's Light. We are created in the image of the Creator, deep within us is that spark of the Light, that small point from which we emerge into who we are. During months like Tevet, we need to meditate upon this idea and realize that we are the Light. Every time we share, we are Light. Every time we love one another without thinking about personal gain, we are Light. With so many of us walking around striving to be Light, Tevet has no chance of being dark. May we have a good month and may we shine the Creator's Light like never before.

NEW Perek Shirah Page
Perek Shirah is an ancient text of unknown authorship, although many commentaries attribute it to King David. It takes the form of a list of eighty-four elements of the natural world. Everything in creation praises its Creator. The lessons can assist us on our journey. Rabbi Eliezer said, Anyone who involves themselves with Perek Shirah in this world, merits saying it in the next world. Kabbalah4All will be working on a new photo each week with a verse until we complete all 84. Click Here to go to our new Perek Shirah page.
Please Donate to Show Your Appreciation!
The word "tzedakah" in Hebrew means charity, but actually the word is derived from the root word which means righteousness, justice or fairness. Giving is not viewed as a generous act, it is simply an act of righteousness and justice. Tzedakah is in many ways an exchange of energy and is a visible expression of gratitude in this world for that which we have received. We rely on the generosity of others so that we may make our siddurim (prayer books) and other resources available for all, as well as continue to offer meaningful studies and inspiring services. Please help support our community by making a DONATION. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
