Naso, 7 Sivan 5779
June 10, 2019

Meditation is a very powerful tool that can assist us with focusing on our higher self and transforming our ego.  Some people are intimidated by meditation, thinking it is some complex form of prayer or believing that they must chant a series of mantras.  Meditation may take structured form or it can be impromptu.  A very easy meditation technique is to focus on your breath and not try to control it, but simply observe it.  If your mind starts to wander, then simply focus on your breath once again.  You could also choose one of the letters of the Hebrew alefbet and focus on it and meditate on its essence.  There are many great books and websites that teach about the meaning of each letter.  Another great tool for meditation is Tehillim (Psalms).  Rabbi Boruch Leff says, "You can open Psalms at any time in your life and find chapters that are intellectually relevant, and emotionally fulfilling. It is almost as if King David studied the hearts of each and every one of us and knew the challenges we continuously face."  Meditation does not need to be complicated and there is no "perfect" way to meditate; it is what feels comfortable for you.  Sivan is a very powerful month for meditation.  May we be blessed to cultivate meditation in our lives that helps us in becoming all that we came to this life to be.

Thank You In Advance For Your Support
The word "tzedakah" in Hebrew means charity, but actually the word is derived from the root word which means righteousness, justice or fairness. Giving is not viewed as a generous act, it is simply an act of righteousness and justice. Tzedakah is in many ways an exchange of energy and is a visible expression of gratitude in this world for that which we have received. We rely on the generosity of others so that we may make our siddurim (prayer books) and other resources available for all, as well as continue to offer meaningful studies and inspiring services. Please help support our community by making a DONATION. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
Perek Shirah Page
Perek Shirah is an ancient text of unknown authorship, although many commentaries attribute it to King David. It takes the form of a list of eighty-four elements of the natural world. Everything in creation praises its Creator. The lessons can assist us on our journey. Rabbi Eliezer said, Anyone who involves themselves with Perek Shirah in this world, merits saying it in the next world. Kabbalah4All will be working on a new photo each week with a verse until we complete all 84. Click Here to go to our new Perek Shirah page.
