29 Nisan 5781
April 11, 2021
On Tuesday we begin a new month,
the month of Iyar (Taurus). The energy of Iyar is healing on every
and soul. Often when we think of healing we look at trying to fix
the effect rather than the cause. Kabbalah teaches, however, that
true healing must be done at the root level. How many of us don't
think of healing until we actually get sick? We learned in the month
of Adar that the absence of joy creates sickness and maladies within
us. So trying to find joy in every moment and circumstance is a way
for us to prevent illness. Healing is not just an action, it is a
state of consciousness. We often refer to tikun, which means to repair
or to heal. We as individuals are responsible not only for self-healing
(tikun hanefesh), but also for the healing of the world (tikun olam).
Iyar helps us to focus on healing and to learn to think about it
daily. The letters of Iyar are also the initials of the verse, "Ani
Adonai rofecha" or "I am Hashem who heals you." Healing
begins by being connected to the Creator's Light; and through that
connection we channel healing for ourselves and the entire world.

HaShirim - New Chapter Each Week y en Español

it is complete. Go to the Shabbat Siddur portion of our Kabbalah4All

The word "tzedakah" in Hebrew means charity, but actually the
word is derived from the root word which means righteousness, justice
or fairness. Giving is not viewed as a generous act, it is simply an
act of righteousness and justice. Tzedakah is in many ways an exchange
of energy and is a visible expression of gratitude in this world for
that which we have received. We rely on the generosity of others so that
we may make our siddurim (prayer books) and other resources available
for all, as well as continue to offer meaningful studies and inspiring
services. Please help support our community by making a DONATION
You can also support us by ordering a kippah at KippahDIVA.com
We thank you in advance for your generosity.
Derech Hashem Study
Derech HaShem (The "Way of the Name") is a philosophical text
written in the 1730s by Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto. It is considered
one of the quintessential handbooks of Jewish thought. The text covers
a vast gamut of philosophical topics in the vast spectrum of classical
Judaism's outlook on the world. These topics include: The purpose of
creation, the Creator, human responsibility, the spiritual realms, providence,
Israel and the nations, astrology, the human soul, theurgy, prophecy,
the study of Torah, prayer, and the function of mitzvah observance. We
will hold this class on Tuesdays at 8:30 PM EDT. See our Calendar
At the end of the Amidah, we whisper a verse from Scripture which is
associated with our Hebrew name. Would you like to know your Hebrew name
and the verse from the Tanach which is associated with your name? Or
would you like us to help you choose a Hebrew name and even have a certificate
with your Hebrew name and verse? Simply
for more information.
